At the moment, to me it seems very likely that 'gut dysbiosis' is a factor in fecal body odor, but it very likely has to have the genetic weakness aspect too, at the moment my main suspect for that weakness being the FMO3 enzyme.
There are a few types of 'gut dysbiosis' people could have :
gut candidiasis
small intestine bacterial overgrowth (colon bacteria growing in small intestine)
overgrowth of some unusual bacteria, perhaps only in the colon
a parasite
So at this stage we cannot say what microbe(s) are causing the gut dyasbiosis (if at all). My own gues is that FMO3 is present in the colon lining, and acts as a control of sulfide and amine producing microbes by oxidizing the sulfides and amines on site. Therefore if you have a weak FMO3 system the microbes tend to change to an unfavorable mix, increasing the load of sulfides and amines.
Whether it is candida or whether candida is part of the mix, at the moment we do not know. I have a feeling it will often be part of the mix

I have had odour problems for a long time. When i get bad reactions from others is when i have candida problems too.
